Lauren: Tucson, Arizona, United States; I've got a dirty mouth, a dirty mind, and I like to get my hands dirty. I'm a thrift store whore and a yard sale groupie. I love the thrill of finding a good deal the way some people love crack. A good DIY before-and-after shot is like design porn to me. If it involves paint, modpodge, fabric, refinishing, or glitter, I'm there. I'd rather get a power tool for Valentine's Day than jewelry. Everything I make has cat fur in it. Sometimes I think I’d be happier living in the 1950s, but then I remember that I really like wearing pants. I love mid-century style, though! I'm in a committed relationship with my Eames-style lounge chair. Sometimes I'm afraid that I'm becoming a hoarder, and someday I'll be inadvertently crushed to death by a falling tower of vintage Pyrex. I'm pretty sure no one is going to read this blog, but I wanted a place to post my thrift store finds and my before and after projects, on the off chance that someone will be inspired, amused, or impressed. At the very least, this blog will shed some light on my untimely demise should I ever be smothered in an avalanche of vintage throw pillows or something.
